The Silent Epidemic

The Silent Epidemic is an expository documentary short made for Raahgiri Foundation.

 

Road accidents in India claim around 2 lakh lives every year and leave more than 4 lakh people severely injured or with some form of disability.

 

The film explores the lives of four families from different walks of life, impacted in different ways by road accidents and tries to provide a fresh, design oriented perspective to look at the problem.

 

Premiered at the Indo-German Filmweek in Berlin in 2023 and was an official selection at the Global Liftoff Sessions in France, The World Health Organisation (WHO) Health For All Film Festival, Mumbai International Film Festival to amongst others.
